4 Gays was started in 2004 by a large GLBT owned and operated Web Hosting & Web Design company to provide low cost Gay website hosting & design, as well as technology and management consulting services to the GLBT community. While 4 Gays was officially launched in 2004 as 4-queers.com, it actually began in 1990 as The Lambda Zone BBS, one of the first multi-line online services to serve the gay community. The Lambda Zone closed its online doors in 1996, but its founders have continued to provide technology and web services to the gay community in Chicago.
Because we have the backing of our parent company, which has been in the technology and online business for over 15 years, unlike a lot of web hosting companies, we aren't going anywhere! We have financial support, as well as servers housed in THE finest data center in the United States.
We firmly believe in giving back to the community and provide a variety of free web hosting, web design and technology donations to qualifying Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender non-profit groups.
